What is the significance of Venom Snake in MGSV?
Venom Snake, or Punished Snake, is a key character in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. As Big Boss's body double, he is the player character and is revealed through a plot twist. He is the sixth canonical Snake and is the man killed by Solid Snake in the 1987 game. His cybernetic enhancements after a near-death experience mirror the Cyborg Ninja's role in earlier games.
